Messy Saints

All Saints' Belmont

Church where we learn about Jesus and it doesn't matter if there is noise or mess!

Messy Saints

Messy Saints happens on the 2nd Sat. of the month during school term.

We usually start with a meal in the Hall at 4.30 pm then do some craft then move to the Church for a story and Communion.

Everyone is welcome.

Messy Saints is our local expression working within the Messy Church program.

Family Pentecost (service in church)

50 Days after the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit, as gentle as a dove, as wild as a bush fire, setting our hearts ablaze with love for God and all of his creation.

Luke 12:16-21 The Rich Fool

So Jesus told them this story: A rich man’s farm produced a big crop, and he said to himself, “What can I do? I don’t have a place large enough to store everything.” Later, he said, “Now I know what I’ll do. I’ll tear down my barns and build bigger ones, where I can store all my grain and other goods. Then I’ll say to myself, ‘You have stored up enough good things to last for years to come. Live it up! Eat, drink, and enjoy yourself.’” But God said to him, “You fool! Tonight you will die. Then who will get what you have stored up?” “This is what happens to people who store up everything for themselves, but are poor in the sight of God.”

Luke 15:3-7
The Lost Sheep

Then Jesus told them this story: If any of you has a hundred sheep, and one of them gets lost, what will you do? Won’t you leave the ninety-nine in the field and go look for the lost sheep until you find it? And when you find it, you will be so glad that you will put it on your shoulder and carry it home. Then you will call in your friends and neighbours and say, “Let’s celebrate! I’ve found my lost sheep.” Jesus said, “In the same way there is more happiness in heaven because of one sinner who turns to God than over ninety-nine good people who don’t need to.”

Luke 15: 8-10
Parable Of the Lost Coin

Jesus told the people another story: What will a woman do if she has ten silver coins and loses one of them? Won’t she light a lamp, sweep the floor, and look carefully until she finds it? Then she will call in her friends and neighbours and say, “Let’s celebrate! I’ve found the coin I lost.” Jesus said, “In the same way God’s angels are happy when even one person turns to him.”

Luke 15:11-32
The Prodigal Son

The young son said to his father, 'Give me my share.' So dad divided his property between the two. The younger went away & wasted all his money. He was broke when famine came. He had nothing to eat. He worked for a man who got him to look after pigs. He said, 'My father’s workers have plenty, & I starve! I will go to him & tell him I have sinned'. He got up & started back. He was a long way off, & his father saw him, ran & hugged him. The son said, 'Father, I have sinned against God & you. I'm not worthy to be your son.' His father said to the servants, 'Hurry, bring the best clothes. Let's party!'
